An American Experience

This is a video I made in 2011 when Fumito Ando was staying in Concord. Most of this video was filmed by Michael Hasegawa and Jay Ishikawa and I did the editing. Most all the spots are in the Bay Area.

Happy Birthday Josh! Throwback Thursday

In 2006, Damaged Goods released it's first full length video. Duce had the most creative and fun part in my opinion which included peg manuals, an x-up stall (before that trick became popular) on Jeremy's old ramp, and one handed one footers. The intro also showcases one of Josh's first animations. He's always had incredible artistic ability and is still a part of his lifestyle. If you've caught Josh at the Concord Skatepark recently, you'll notice that his riding style is way different now than what is shown in this video. Happy Birthday Josh! Have a good one!

In the Streets with Justin Burns & Other East Bay Locals

According the the Youtube date, this video was from July 2013 and features riding from Justin Burns, Bob Randle, Kevin Kiraly and others. The riding and the spots are really good. Enjoy this one.

Curved Wallride Photo

Here's a screenshot from a curved wallride I did yesterday. Thanks to Duce for filming this. I hit this wall a long time ago when I had my red Fly Pantera frame. Josh Gray also hit this a while back. I wish there were more curved walls everywhere.

Castro Valley/Thrasher Park Photos

After a long long time of being off my bike, I'm back and riding once again. Since the last time I updated the site, I graduated with a B.A. in Geography, scored a job with the City and County of San Francisco, went to Europe with my girlfriend, and had another acl surgery. Since there's been a lot of time in between updates from the last time, I figured I'd start fresh with a new name and call this blog East by East Bay. As the years have gone by, some members of the Damaged Goods crew have gone on to persue other endevors in their lives and some are persuing other endevors but have remained in the East Bay and still ride. The usual crew still has some old faces and has brought in some new ones too. It's hard to get the whole crew together to ride at the same time because we all have different schedules, but when we do all is good. The three photos posted above are from a session Duce and I had on Saterday. The first one is Duce jumping "The 3 Stair", the second is Duce doing a euro table at Thrasher Park, and the third is me dubbing down a capped tripple 2 stair rail. Check back for more updates.

Matt Beringer's Rapid Response

Read it here. I couldn't agree more with his answer to the worst thing about bmx.

Stay Fit

I think these will stay on the internet for good since it isn't a full upload. The fact that parts 1 and 2 didnt include Van Homan and Dakota Roche's parts bummed me out so I found them individually so its not a bummer at all. Chase Dehart, Van Homan and Dakota Roches parts fucking ruled. The music in Chase Hawk's part made me want to shoot myself though. Most annemic noise I have ever heard.

Josh Baty Turning Down

Josh clicked some turndowns but I suck at taking photos right now. Ill blame it on the weather and the light. Riding this jump makes me want to ride more trails.

The Over Show's New Site Is Up Now

Unfinished Work

Today a kid at the trails asked me if I was in this video. I paused before I replied to the kid though. Yea I did film the video but what I realize now is that nothing ever came out of that. Sure we made a few bucks on that, but that wasn't the point. Bikes are still not allowed at any skatepark in the Claycord area. What should be said now is that at the time of the bike jam it seemed like we succeded but today it looks like a total failure.
